The Sorrento Double-Walled French Press by Opus Appliances is a borosilicate glass French press with a double-walled glass body, constructed from borosilicate glass, wood, and stainless steel. The double-walled glass-in-glass construction insulates the body of the press during use, and the curved bottle-like form gives the press a layered transparent appearance. A handle is integrated into the frame for pouring and carrying, and the plunger assembly presses down through the chamber to separate the coffee grounds from the brewed coffee after steeping. The 350ml capacity is suited to brewing 3 to 5 servings.
The Sorrento Double-Walled French Press by Opus Appliances is used by heating water separately and pouring it over coarsely ground coffee placed inside the glass chamber, allowing the coffee to steep before the plunger is pressed down. The borosilicate glass is heat-resistant for contact with hot liquids but should not be placed directly on a stove, as direct contact with a heat source may cause the glass to shatter. Metal spoons and utensils should be avoided during use as they may scratch the glass surface. Hand washing is recommended for care. Each press ships in the size selected at the time of purchase.
